A strong team needs collective roots to grow and become resilient
Team- and Culturebuilding
2-5 days team-building in the woods
In the constant change of every-day life, we seldom have time to do more than put out fires. Things that don‘t seem so urgent, like personal and team stumbling blocks are continually pushed further back.
But in time, frustration grows, and we can‘t even tell anymore what the original problem was!
And more importantly,
- we can’t see a way out
- or that decision we need to make feels like choosing between a rock and a hard place
- And then that frustration even jumps over and influences the mood of the whole team…
So what to do?
How about a change of scenery?
Richard Louv states, that “The future will belong to the nature-smart—those individuals, families, businesses, and political leaders who develop a deeper understanding of the transformative power of the natural world and who balance the virtual with the real. The more high-tech we become, the more nature we need.”
The natural environment helps to relieve stress of everyday life, and allows for an inner calm to spread, and a new excitement to grow. When we immerse ourselves in the natural cycles, we can recognize interrelations, and see new perspectives.
Going into nature and returning to our roots and to what it means to be human is ideal for team-building, conflict management or as an innovation workshop. It over-all strengthens the team and makes it more resilient.
Team skills like communication, listening, coordination and working as one will emerge as a result of being together in nature and with nature as our guide.
What this can do for a team
Depending on the team‘s needs, the following priorities can be set:
- Learn to communicate in a respectful way
- so that we can conduct a relaxed and effortless conversation – even in situations of stress.

- Shine a light on patterns and dynamics in the team
- so that we can openly deal with them and make sure that those patterns will not prevent us from reaching our goals in the future

- Uncover the strengths and gifts of each team member
- so that tasks can be distributed in a way that they ideally fit for every team member and they are all happy and do a better job.

- Connect to the roots of motivation – both individually and as a team
- so that we can tap into hidden energy reserves and effectively prosper
We use methods for fostering nature connection and that have been tested and refined for decades. They not only allow for connection to nature, but also strengthen connection among people, boost creativity, and awaken excitement.
